Cleanse

Cleansing is crucial as the type of cleanser you choose will depend on whether you have dry, normal, oily, combination, or sensitive skin. A product suitable for dry skin, for example, will be different from one suitable for oily skin.

Choose a cleanser that fits your skin type. For instance, cream-based cleansers are often suitable for dry and sensitive skin, while foaming cleansers may be better for oily or acne-prone skin.

With lukewarm water. Hot water can be harsh on the skin and cause dryness.Using your fingertips, apply the cleanser in a circular motion, being extra gentle around the eye area. Avoid using washcloths, sponges, or brushes unless they are exceptionally soft or your dermatologist recommends it. These can cause unnecessary abrasion. Thoroughly rinse with lukewarm water, ensuring that no residue remains. Any leftover product can cause irritation.Gently pat (don’t rub) your face dry with a clean, soft towel.ollow up with your toner, treatments, moisturizer, and SPF (for morning). Remember, your skin is most receptive to products after it's been cleansed.

Treat

Essences are typically lightweight and packed with hydrating, complex-enhancing, and complexion-brightening ingredients. They prepare the skin for other skincare products, enhancing their absorption. Apply after cleansing and toning but before serums and moisturizers. Pat the essence gently onto your skin and allow it to absorb.

Face Oils are typically used to add extra hydration and to lock in the effects of the products applied beforehand. Some face oils can also have other benefits, like soothing inflammation or delivering antioxidants. They should be applied after water-based products like essences, serums, and moisturizers. Warm a few drops in your hands and gently press it onto your face.

Toners help to remove any residual makeup or cleanser and restore the skin's pH balance, preparing it for the rest of your skincare routine. Depending on the ingredients, toners can also help hydrate, soothe, or even exfoliate the skin. Apply toner to a cotton pad and gently sweep it over your face after cleansing but before applying other products.

Protect

Antioxidants, such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Ferulic acid, can neutralize free radicals generated by UV radiation and pollution. This helps prevent damage at a cellular level, which can contribute to premature aging.

Some serums contain enzymes that help repair the DNA damage in skin cells caused by UV exposure.

Niacinamide, also known as Vitamin B3, has been shown to help reduce inflammation and can strengthen the skin's natural barrier, providing some level of protection.

While it doesn't directly protect against sun damage, hyaluronic acid is excellent at retaining moisture in the skin, keeping it hydrated and healthy.
